That's the thing, Katherine. We're not in Mystic Falls. Something different tries to kill us every month and it has nothing to do with us being vampires. I'm not justifying it, because it's something I did, and I don't expect anyone to congratulate me or give me an award. I did something that I thought was necessary. I'm going to live with it.

[ once again, elena makes a decision and everyone else has to simply live with it. katherine hadn't signed up to deal with the potential ramifications of elena's idiotic decision. deerington may not be mystic falls, which is all the more reason to lay low and be smart.
