The first is white and described as housing a spell that will bring someone back from the brink of death; the second is a bright blue, explained to be used to freeze its target in place; the third is black for shadow, and said to throw the target into a state of temporary sensory deprivation; the fourth is a deep purple and Clarke explains that it's a shadow companion for whenever Katherine needs help. When the fourth bauble is broken, a large wolf-sized companion will rise from the broken shards and defend her until the spell is broken by whoever opposes her. )
